We also sell carpets & furniture, offering an assembly service on all flat packed goods, and men's, ladies and children’s clothing and footwear, alongside all aspects of soft furnishings too. The company was founded in 1914 by Abraham Fearnley Dobson who began peddling bedding and other household items from a barrow, calling door to door around the streets of Sheffield. The company was later run by his son Harry Dobson and his wife Betty who put their hearts into developing the business after the 2nd world war and in doing so helped hundreds of family’s with their 'Household Club' which offered a 'pay weekly' service it was much needed in such austere times. 

A.F.Dobson Ltd has grown over the years and continues to provide a service above all else to their many satisfied customers in the Sheffield and Rotherham areas. The company is now run by their daughter Carol Dobson with her son Jonathan Maycock and continues to develop in an effort to provide an exemplary service to customers new and old.
