Guernsey Gas Ltd. at the Energy Centre specialises predominantly in Gas Appliances and in 1998 commenced retailing both electrical white and brown goods. The Energy Centre supply the leading brands in cooking appliances and were pleased to have the opportunity to become a Rangemaster Design Centre and more recently incorporating both Falcon and Mercury Ranges which are also part of the Aga Rangemaster Group.
Other leading manufacturers, Smeg, Stoves, Cannon and Hotpoint can all be found at "The Energy Centre" together with white and brown electrical goods from Samsung, LG, Sharp, Toshiba, Indesit, Hotpoint and Bosch as well as a wide range of accessories. We also stock the full range of Dyson and Sebo cleaners and Microwave Ovens by Samsung and Sharp, a range of Barbecues are available from Broil King. We also offer a range of Internet Tablets by Samsung and Archos with interest Free Credit on selected appliances as well as an Easy Payment Plan for other goods.
From as early as 1830, Guernsey Gas Ltd. was providing gas to light the streets of Guernsey and later gas was utilised in local homes, proving to be a convenient fuel for cooking and water heating. Throughout this period and up to the 1960's, all local gas was generated from coal at a production plant in St. Peter Port.
Since those early days, the original Company named the Guernsey Gas Light Company Ltd has developed significantly. The first major change took place when it was decided to manufacture our mains gas from Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG Butane and Propane. This change improved both the quality and safety of the fuel and enabled the introduction of a modern range of gas appliances.
