C W Strickland and Son Ltd sell a wide range of large and small electrical appliances and TV and audio equipment. We also repair domestic and commercial electrical appliances. In our showroom, you will find all the top brand names with more than 100 major electrical appliances on display whether for cooking, laundry, refrigeration, or dishwashing.
We are a Select Centre for AEG, Zanussi and Electrolux (both free-standing and built-in) and stock a wide range of products including Bosch, LG, Hotpoint, Beko and Ice King as well as a range of small domestic appliances such as kettles, toasters, irons, electric blankets and food-preparation appliances from all leading manufacturers. We also stock Dimplex heating appliances and is a recognised Dimplex 'Hotspot' dealer; Dyson, Numatic, AEG, Zanussi and Panasonic floor-cleaning appliances; vacuum cleaner bags and accessories; televisions from Sharp, LG and Cello; electric 'Optiflame' and Optimyst' fires; telephones from BT and Panasonic and telephone accessories.
A wide range of lighting products are also in stock, including lampshades, table lamps, standard lamps, ceiling-mounted and wall-mounted light fittings.

About Us
The company was started by Charles Wilfred Strickland in the1920’s. It was entrusted to his son Michael and wife Sylvia and is now run by his grandson Mark Strickland and great grandsons Alex and Edward.
The company employs two appliance engineers who carry out repairs on almost any make of appliance. Repairs of electrical appliances can be carried out at its premises or in the customer’s home if this is more convenient. Their skilled engineers can repair antique light fittings and bring them back to life, so don't think about getting rid of those old fittings because you can't get them working. Bring them to Strickland’s and we will sort them out for you.
In total we employ four electricians and three apprentice electricians. All have completed or are training towards NVQ Level 3 in electrical installation. These engineers can install electrical heating equipment, storage and panel heating, air and ground-source heat pumps, air-conditioning equipment, fire alarm systems, emergency lighting, data, and telecom networks as well as lighting and power systems, fault-finding and repairs and inspection and testing of electrical installations.
