Energy ratings show how efficient an appliance is, helping you save on energy bills and reduce your environmental impact. Many appliances now use a new A-G scale, where A is the most efficient and G is the least. This new system is stricter, so even a B or C rating still means good efficiency.
Some appliances, like ovens and tumble dryers, still use the older system with A+, A++ or A+++ ratings. These labels haven't been updated yet, but they still help you compare energy use and choose more efficient models.
