CIH Members Lead the Way at ERT Awards 2026

CIH members enjoyed a standout night at the ERT Awards, securing four wins alongside a strong showing of highly commended and shortlisted entries across eleven retail categories. The results underline the breadth of talent and expertise within the Euronics network, from customer service and showroom excellence to sustainability, digital engagement and sales.

The prestigious awards event took place at the Grand Connaught Rooms in London on Thursday 15th October and celebrated excellence across the electrical retail sector, recognising outstanding independent retailers alongside the people, products, suppliers and initiatives helping the industry progress. With categories that honour both retailers and manufacturers, as well as new awards for emerging talent and influential industry contributors, the event provides valuable recognition for CIH members and highlights the important role independent retailers play within their communities and the wider industry.

Winners in the retail categories were determined by a panel of independent experts. The CIH members recognised were:

• Best Independent Consumer Electronics Retailer – Large:
  Winner - Dacombes of Wimborne, Highly Commended - Avensys Ltd, Shortlisted - Harris Electrical
   
• Best Sustainable Independent Electrical Retailer:
  Highly Commended - Dacombes of Wimborne, Shortlisted - Avensys Ltd and DB Domestics
   
• Retailer Social Media Campaign Star of the Year:
  Winner - Luke Gammons (Wades), Highly Commended - Andrew Lord (Lords Electrical), Shortlisted - Freya Burgin (Hanson Electrical)
  and Avensys Social Media (Avensys Ltd)
   
• Sales Excellence Award:
  Shortlisted - Tom Masson (Hanson Electrical), Martin Jukes (Avensys Ltd) and Mike Barrett (Purewell Electrical)
   
• Best Independent Electrical Retailer Shopfront:
  Highly Commended - Williams Electrical, Shortlisted - DB Domestics, Harris Electrical and Avensys Ltd
   
• Best Independent Domestic Appliances Retailer – Small:
  Highly Commended - Domestic Supplies, Shortlisted - Williams Electrical and Abbey Domestic
   
• Best Independent Electrical Retailer Website:
  Highly Commended - DB Domestics, Avensys Ltd, Shortlisted - Harris Electrical and Dacombes of Wimborne
   
• Best Independent Electrical Retailer – Custom Install:
  Highly Commended - Avensys Ltd
   
• Best Independent Consumer Electronics Retailer – Small:
  Winner - 21st Century Service, Highly Commended - TVA Technology Ltd, Shortlisted - Abbey Domestic and Williams Electrical
   
• Best Independent Domestic Appliances Retailer – Large:
  Winner - Wellingtons Electrical, Highly Commended – Glotech, Shortlisted - DB Domestics and Avensys Ltd

CIH Euronics also sponsored the Best Independent Domestic Appliances Retailer - Small Award, recognising retailers with annual turnover below £2 million. Chris Hill, Finance and IT Director at Euronics, presented the award to Abbey Appliances of Evesham.
